Celebrity Cruises Ships Ranked: Every Class Explained (2027)

Celebrity Cruises is the premium sister line to Royal Caribbean. It offers more refined dining, quieter ships and a more adult crowd, at prices that often overlap with mainstream lines. Here’s how the fleet compares.

Edge Class: Celebrity’s modern flagships

Ships: Celebrity Edge, Celebrity Apex, Celebrity Beyond, Celebrity Ascent and Celebrity Xcel.

Edge-class ships feature the Magic Carpet (a cantilevered platform that moves between decks), the Rooftop Garden, the Resort Deck and Eden. Edge Villas and Infinite Veranda cabins are standard. Beyond, Ascent and Xcel are slightly larger and add more outdoor space.

Best for: couples and anyone who wants modern design and great dining. See our Edge class guide.

Solstice Class: classic Celebrity

Ships: Celebrity Solstice, Equinox, Eclipse, Silhouette and Reflection.

Solstice-class ships are known for the real grass Lawn Club on the top deck, a glass-blowing show (on select ships) and an elegant atmosphere. Most have been “revolutionized” with updated suites and venues. Celebrity Silhouette sails from Boston on Canada and New England cruises in fall 2027.

Best for: travelers who want premium cruising at strong value.

Millennium Class: smaller and port-focused

Ships: Celebrity Millennium, Infinity, Summit and Constellation.

Smaller ships that reach ports bigger ships can’t, often on longer itineraries in Alaska, Europe and the Southern Caribbean. Celebrity Summit sails a 9-night Boston to San Juan cruise in October 2027.

Best for: destination-focused travelers.

Galápagos expedition ships

Celebrity Flora and its sister ships offer small-ship expedition cruising in the Galápagos Islands, with naturalist guides. It’s a completely different product from the rest of the fleet.
