Disney Cruise Line Ships Ranked: All 8 Ships Explained (2027)

Disney Cruise Line now sails eight ships, with Disney Believe joining in late 2027 and more planned through 2031. The ships fall into four groups, and the differences are bigger than most families expect.

Wish Class: the newest Disney experience

Ships: Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny. Disney Believe is coming in late 2027.

Each ship has its own theme. Wish’s is enchantment. Treasure’s is adventure, with the Coco-themed Plaza de Coco dinner and the Moana stage show. Destiny’s is heroes and villains, with a Lion King-themed theatrical dinner and Disney Hercules. All three have the AquaMouse water coaster, rotational theatrical dining and Disney’s best kids’ spaces. Destiny began sailing on November 20, 2025, and sails 3- to 7-night cruises from Fort Lauderdale.

Best for: families who want the newest shows and dining.

Dream Class

Ships: Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy.

These have the AquaDuck water coaster and the Animator’s Palate dining show, and they’re slightly less crowded-feeling than the Wish class. Fantasy sails 3- to 5-night Bahamas cruises from Port Canaveral, and Dream has sailed seasonally in Europe.

Best for: great value on the classic Disney experience.

Magic Class: the originals

Ships: Disney Magic and Disney Wonder.

These are smaller and more intimate, with fewer water features but excellent itineraries. Both sail 7-night Alaska cruises from Vancouver in summer.

Best for: Alaska, longer itineraries and repeat Disney cruisers.

Disney Adventure: Asia’s Disney ship

Disney Adventure, launched in December 2025, is Disney’s largest ship and sails 3- and 4-night cruises from Singapore, with Marvel-themed attractions and the Remember stage show. It’s an option for families traveling to Asia, not a U.S. ship.

Quick picks

  • Toddlers and young kids: Wish class
  • Value: Disney Fantasy short cruises
  • Alaska: Magic or Wonder
  • Most private-island time: “double dip” sailings visiting both Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay
