Booking Royal Caribbean Through an Advisor
How we price, time and book Royal Caribbean sailings for travelers in New Hampshire and across New England, and where an advisor actually saves you money.
Royal Caribbean is the line our clients ask about most, and it is also the line where the gap between a good booking and an average one is widest. Fares move daily, promotions rotate weekly, and the same cabin can be priced three different ways depending on the fare type. This page is not a ship encyclopedia. It is how we approach a Royal Caribbean booking from first call to final payment.
Departure ports that work from New England
Boston
Seasonal sailings to Bermuda and Canada & New England. The easiest option from southern NH: no flight, park and board.
Cape Liberty, Bayonne NJ
Year-round Bahamas, Caribbean and Bermuda. A drive or a short flight, and often the cheapest way to reach CocoCay without flying to Florida.
Florida fly-cruise
Miami, Port Canaveral and Fort Lauderdale host the newest Icon- and Oasis-class ships. We price flights from Manchester (MHT) and Boston (BOS) with the fare so you see the true total.
How we price a Royal Caribbean sailing
- Compare fare types side by side. Refundable and non-refundable deposit fares can differ by hundreds per cabin. We show both so you choose flexibility on purpose, not by accident.
- Stack the current promotion. BOGO-style deals, kids-sail-free and onboard credit offers rarely combine the way the ads suggest. We run the math on the final, tax-inclusive price.
- Check the cabin guarantee option. A guarantee (GTY) cabin can save money when you are flexible on location. We explain the risk before you take it.
- Watch the fare until final payment. If the price drops before final payment and the fare rules allow it, we request a re-price or added credit for you.
Which ship class to book, by traveler
| You are | We usually recommend | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Family with kids under 6 | Icon class | Surfside neighborhood and splash areas close to family cabins. |
| Family with teens | Oasis class | Most activities per dollar; teens can roam safely. |
| Couple, first cruise | Oasis or Quantum class | Plenty to do without paying Icon pricing. |
| Budget, 3–5 nights | Voyager or Freedom class | Upgraded older ships at the lowest fares. |
| Scenery first (Alaska, Canada) | Radiance or Quantum class | Glass-heavy ships and calmer pace. |
Common Royal Caribbean booking mistakes
Buying packages onboard
Beverage, dining and internet packages are usually cheaper pre-cruise during sales. We flag when they drop.
Booking CocoCay extras late
Cabanas and Thrill Waterpark days sell out. Reserve once your cruise planner opens.
Ignoring final payment dates
Miss it and the booking cancels. We send reminders well ahead of the deadline.
What booking with us adds
You pay Royal Caribbean’s price, not a markup, and there is no planning fee. We look for advisor-only onboard credit, link cabins for groups, handle name changes and dining requests, and stay your contact if something changes before or during the trip. Royal Caribbean booking questions
Is it cheaper to book Royal Caribbean direct or through an agent?
The base fare is the same. An advisor can add value through onboard credit, re-pricing when fares drop, and catching promotion fine print.
Can I sail Royal Caribbean without flying from New Hampshire?
Yes. Seasonal Boston sailings and year-round Cape Liberty, New Jersey sailings are reachable by car.
When should I book a Royal Caribbean cruise?
For new ships, holidays and summer, 9–18 months out. For flexible travelers, last-minute deals appear 60–90 days before sailing.
What happens if the price drops after I book?
Before final payment, we request a re-price or onboard credit when the fare rules allow it.
