Royal Caribbean Cruises from New England: Cape Liberty, Boston and Baltimore

You don’t need to fly to Florida to sail Royal Caribbean. For travelers in New Hampshire, Massachusetts and the rest of New England, the line’s Northeast homeports put a Caribbean, Bermuda or Canada cruise within driving distance. Here’s what’s sailing for 2027–28.

Cape Liberty (Bayonne, NJ): the main Northeast homeport

Cape Liberty, across the harbor from Manhattan, is Royal Caribbean’s main Northeast homeport. For 2027–28, three ships are based there:

  • Oasis of the Seas: the Oasis-class experience without a flight, with Caribbean and Bahamas itineraries that include Perfect Day at CocoCay
  • Odyssey of the Seas: 7- to 12-night Caribbean sailings, including longer Southern Caribbean routes to Barbados, St. Lucia and St. Kitts
  • Independence of the Seas: shorter getaways and Bahamas sailings

Seasonal itineraries also include Bermuda and Canada and New England cruises calling at Boston, Portland, Halifax and Sydney, Nova Scotia.

Baltimore

Vision of the Seas sails from Baltimore, with 5- and 9-night summer sailings to Bimini in the Bahamas and to Bermuda. It’s a good fit if you’re combining the cruise with a visit to the Mid-Atlantic.

What about Boston?

Royal Caribbean has offered seasonal sailings from Boston’s Flynn Cruiseport in some years, mostly Canada and New England cruises in fall foliage season. Schedules change year to year, so ask us what’s open for your dates. Boston also appears as a port of call on New England itineraries from Cape Liberty.

Driving times from New Hampshire

  • Manchester, NH to Cape Liberty: about 4.5–5 hours
  • Manchester, NH to Boston’s Flynn Cruiseport: about 1 hour
  • Manchester, NH to Baltimore: about 7.5 hours (most people fly)

Cape Liberty has on-site parking, which makes driving down the day before and staying in Bayonne or Jersey City an easy plan.
