World Class: MSC’s newest giants
Ships: MSC World Europa, MSC World America and newer sisters.
World-class ships have seven districts, including the Promenade, the World Galleria and the “Family Aventura” zone. They feature the Cliffhanger swing over the ocean, the Ocean Cay–bound Miami program and more than a dozen dining venues. MSC World America sails from Miami.
Best for: families who want a mega-ship at a lower price than Icon class.
Meraviglia Class
Ships: MSC Meraviglia, MSC Bellissima, MSC Grandiosa, MSC Virtuosa and MSC Euribia.
The signature feature is an indoor Galleria with an LED dome ceiling. Meraviglia sailed from Brooklyn until April 2026, when MSC ended its New York homeport. The ship now sails from Miami and the Southern Caribbean.
Seaside Class: built for warm weather
Ships: MSC Seaside, MSC Seaview, MSC Seashore and MSC Seascape.
Seaside-class ships have a waterfront promenade that brings guests close to the sea, glass bridges, and large pool and water park areas. They’re mainstays of MSC’s Florida program.
Best for: Caribbean sun-seekers.
Fantasia, Musica and Lirica Classes
These are older, mid-size ships that sail longer, port-heavy itineraries, mostly in Europe, South America and on repositioning voyages. They have fewer attractions but good value and more destination focus.
MSC Yacht Club
Most newer ships have the MSC Yacht Club, a ship-within-a-ship with suites, a private restaurant, a lounge, a pool deck, butler service and included drinks. It’s one of the best-value premium suite products at sea.

Does MSC still sail from New York?
No. MSC Meraviglia’s final New York sailing returned in April 2026, and MSC has not announced a replacement. The closest MSC homeports for New Englanders are now in Florida. See MSC for New England travelers.
