Norwegian’s More at Sea replaced the old Free at Sea program for sailings from 2025 onward. It bundles drinks, specialty dining, Wi-Fi and excursion credit into your fare. Here’s what’s actually included as of October 2026, and the fine print.
What More at Sea includes
- Unlimited open bar: premium spirits, cocktails, wine by the glass, draft beer, soda and juice, with a wider range of brands than Free at Sea
- Specialty dining: meals at NCL’s specialty restaurants, with up to three appetizers and three desserts per meal. The number of meals depends on cabin category and cruise length.
- Starlink Wi-Fi for every guest in the stateroom
- Shore excursion credit: $50 per tour for the first guest in the cabin
- Reduced fares for third and fourth guests on select sailings
What’s not included
- Bottled water and Starbucks (both were included in the old package)
- Drinks over the per-drink price cap. You pay the difference.
- Gratuities on the package (service charges are paid separately unless prepaid)
- A daily cap of 15 alcoholic drinks per person
The rules
- More at Sea applies to the whole cabin. Every guest 21+ gets the beverage package if one does.
- Guests under 21 get a soda package instead.
- Choices must be locked in at least 24 hours before sailing.
- Pride of America (Hawaii) uses a different beverage package and pricing.
Is it worth it?
For most couples who drink, yes. Even three or four drinks a day plus Wi-Fi and two specialty dinners usually exceed the added cost. It’s less valuable for:
- Non-drinkers. Ask us about fares without the bundle when they’re available.
- Families where most guests are under 21
- Very short sailings
How to compare NCL fares fairly
NCL fares that include More at Sea look more expensive than other lines’ base fares. Before comparing, add the cost of drink packages, Wi-Fi and specialty dining on the other line. NCL often comes out ahead. See our total price comparison.
FAQ
Is More at Sea the same as Free at Sea?
No. More at Sea replaced Free at Sea for sailings booked from October 2024 onward. It covers more brands, more dining and Wi-Fi for everyone in the cabin, but it dropped bottled water and Starbucks.
Can I upgrade the drink package?
The More at Sea package already covers premium brands. Ask us about upgrade offers for your sailing.
