Carnival’s drink packages have fixed published prices, unlike Royal Caribbean’s moving rates. That makes the math easier. Here’s what each package costs as of October 2026 and whether it’s worth it.

CHEERS! rules
- Every adult 21+ in the cabin must buy CHEERS! if one does.
- Maximum 15 alcoholic drinks per day.
- Drinks over $20 and bottles of wine get a 25% discount instead of being covered.
- Not valid ashore, including at Celebration Key and Half Moon Cay. Budget for drinks on private-island days.
Is CHEERS! worth it?
At around $84 per day and about $10 per drink, you need about 8 drinks a day, counting specialty coffee and water, to break even. Carnival’s own pitch assumes about 5 cocktails plus coffee and water. For moderate drinkers, paying as you go is usually cheaper, especially on itineraries with a private-island day.
Dining
Carnival’s free dining is strong: Guy’s Burger Joint, BlueIguana Cantina, the main dining room and the Lido buffet. Pay-per-meal options include Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse, Bonsai Sushi, JiJi Asian Kitchen and Cucina del Capitano. Carnival doesn’t sell an unlimited dining plan, so book individual restaurants.
Wi-Fi
Carnival sells Wi-Fi in tiers (Social, Value and Premium) per device, per day. Pre-cruise prices are lower than onboard. Social is fine for messaging, while Premium is needed for video calls.
Gratuities
Carnival automatically adds daily service gratuities per guest. Gratuity rates were updated for sailings from April 2, 2026. Prepaying locks in the rate.

Does CHEERS! work at Celebration Key?
No. Carnival’s drink packages are valid onboard only, not at Celebration Key, Half Moon Cay or Princess Cays.
Can kids buy Zero Proof?
Yes. Guests of any age can buy CHEERS! Zero Proof.
